I have always known from a very young age that I wanted to work with children with special needs. When I began working in college with children with Autism, I knew I wanted to further my career and education in the direction of autism and behavior. I found that the principles of ABA worked and behaviors were able to change when they were implemented consistently.
Verbal behavior, program development and early intervention.
I have worked with children between the ages of 18 months and 21 years old in all settings (school, home and community) for over 12 years. I worked as a TSS, Behavior Specialist, and Assistant Clinical Director of a Wraparound agency and the Assistant Director of an Approved Private School in Pennsylvania. I have developed social skills programs for social skills groups and intensive home programs for children with varied developmental disabilities.
I am extremely passionate about Verbal Behavior and program development. I enjoy being able to watch children grow over the course of an assessment, through program development and watching behaviors change through the use of effective interventions. It is amazing to see the amount of progress both children and families make with the use of ABA strategies.
I have enjoyed being part of an amazing team. The staff has been so welcoming and I have learned so much from working with such knowledgeable people. It has been an amazing experience so far and I am excited to continue to grow and expand my skills in this field!
