Why did you choose to pursue a career in ABA?
After my graduation for John Carol University, I started working at the Cleveland Clinic for Autism. I saw first-hand the potential of ABA therapy and knew at that point that this is what I wanted to do as a career.
Do you have any special areas of interest?
I’m interested in early language development and I’m excited about some new research coming out in telemedicine.
What varied experience do you have in your field?
I have worked with all age groups as well as clients in schools, clinics, homes, and the community. I have experience with augmentative and alternative communication, function based approaches to teaching skills and function based approaches to treating challenging behavior.
What degrees, licenses, certifications and/or special training do you hold?
What are you passionate about?
Professionally: ABA therapy, parent training, play-based interventions. Personally: Playing guitar, kayaking, travel, baseball.
What do you enjoy most about working at Building Blocks Therapy?
I enjoy the team atmosphere. (The rock wall is pretty cool too.)
