Why did you choose to pursue a career in ABA?
I fell in love with ABA when I was doing my pre-curriculum at the Autism Clinic in West Virginia.
Do you have any special areas of interest?
I enjoy working on language and social skills development. It’s amazing to see the transformation of a child who comes into our clinic lacking language and social skills to being able to interact and communicate with his peers and parents.
What varied experience do you have in your field?
I have worked in intensive and play-based clinics and provided services at home and at school as well.
What degrees, licenses, certifications and/or special training do you hold?
What are you passionate about?
I love helping kids gain social skills and seeing first-hand how they use those social skills throughout their day. It’s what keeps me excited and motivated about the work I’m doing.
What do you enjoy most about working at Building Blocks Therapy?
The therapists I work with are just amazing. Their excitement about ABA therapy and seeing progress in our clients is contagious. There’s a real feeling of teamwork and camaraderie that I haven’t seen anywhere else.
