Why did you choose to pursue a career in ABA?
I choose to pursue a career in ABA because it allows different opportunities of teaching. ABA focuses on ways that best fit the child’s needs and that is the reason I choose to be a part of ABA therapy
Do you have any special areas of interest?
I enjoy working on social skills and ADL’s. Working on social skills and ADL’s helps prepare each person for community interactions and how to live more independently.
What varied experience do you have in your field?
I worked in classrooms for a couple of years before coming to BBT and learning more about ABA therapy. During my time in the schools, I worked in play-based learning classrooms.
What degrees, licenses, certifications and/or special training do you hold?
BCBA, Masters in Education, Professional Crisis Management (PCM)
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about helping kids achieve more independence and self-management. ABA helps kids achieve these goals. I also enjoy being able to work with parents and incorporating their goals for their child in their treatment.
What do you enjoy most about working at Building Blocks Therapy?
I enjoy working with the RBT’s and watching them excel in the field. Watching therapists interact with the kids and watching the improvements and interactions with the kids is extremely rewarding.
