Clinical Director

Kathryn Scarvelli, BCBA

Kathryn is a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst who chose to pursue a career in ABA after working with children with special needs in various settings during college. She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from John Carroll University and a Master of Education in Special Education (K-12) with a focus on moderate to severe disabilities from Kent State University. Kathryn has worked on a research team at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Autism and has experience as a registered behavior therapist in homes, schools, and center-based environments. She has a Certificate in ABA from Kent State University. Kathryn is passionate about working with clients on communication goals and loves seeing parents get excited about their child’s progress. Kathryn enjoys working at Building Blocks Therapy because of the collaborative, positive, and supportive team environment, and how everyone celebrates each client’s successes and milestones.

Malorie Bush, BCBA

Malorie has always been passionate about the concept of learning through play. She chose to pursue a career in ABA because she loves the creativity, games, and laughter that come with it. Malorie’s special interest lies in working with early intervention kids. She holds an RBT and M.S. degree in her field. Malorie is passionate about working with families and teaching them how to support their loved ones with Autism. She enjoys working at Building Blocks Therapy because of the collaborative environment and the satisfaction she gets from seeing her clients’ progress.

Christina Carocci, BCBA

Christina chose to pursue a career in ABA after working at Building blocks Therapy throughout college. She received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from John Carroll University and a Masters in special education with an ABA certificate from Kent State University. Christina’s special area of interest is classroom management and working on activities of daily living skills. She loves seeing learners be genuinely happy in their learning environment and fostering a safe space for creativity and play. What she enjoys the most about working at building blocks is the collaborative and supportive work environment.

Emily Dodge, BCBA

Emily chose a career in ABA because of the profound impact it has on clients and their families, particularly in fostering client independence. She specializes in increasing communication skills and has worked with children aged 2-18 in clinic settings, helping them develop communication, independence, and life skills. Emily holds a B.S. in Psychology from Slippery Rock University and a M.A. in ABA from Ball State University, with certifications in PFA and SBT. She is passionate about teaching through natural play, and her favorite aspect of working at Building Blocks Therapy is the collaboration and watching clients achieve their goals.

Sophie Kaplan

Sophie Kaplan is a dedicated professional in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) who began her career as a Behavior Therapist at Building Blocks Therapy (BBT) in 2024. She chose this path because of her passion for working with children and her desire to make a meaningful impact in their lives. Sophie has a particular interest in practical functional assessment and in understanding the overlapping functions and contingencies that maintain behavior.

Erin Bailosky-Arter, BCBA

While in college, Erin worked as a nanny for a child with ASD and was inspired to pursue a career working with children on the spectrum. Erin loves working on social skills development and executive functioning skills and enjoys training and teaching others. Erin has worked with kids of all ages, has a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership, a Master of Education, and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Erin is passionate about ABA and working with children and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. She loves working at Building Blocks Therapy because it is child-centered, flexible, and offers custom-made treatment plans to each child.
